How it works

Platelets are small parts of the cells which circulate in the blood and have the job of triggering the process of repairing and rebuilding damaged cells. Platelet Rich Plasma containers important growth factor and encourages regrowth of blood vessels, cells and tissue.

The way that PRP works for reversing hair loss is increasing the proliferation of dermal papilla cells, supplying Fibroblast growth factor and beta-catenin for accelerated hair growth. PRP works best for treating thinning hair and slowing or stopping the progression of hair loss.

PRP for hair

PRP for hair is one of the most effective, 100% natural hair growth treatment. The procedure involves platelets being injected into the scalp. The growth factors in the blood initiate repair, which simulates the natural growth of hair.

PRP contains special cells called platelets, that can cause the growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the cells in the micro-environment of the hair follicle. These special Platelet cells which promote healing and regeneration, responds to injury and formulation of new cellular growth.

There are two primary purposes of using PRP in hair restoration.

The 1st is to use PRP on scalps that are either thinning or are starting to have receding hairlines.

Or 2nd is PRP is used to stimulate inactive or newly unplanted hair follicles into an even more powerful active growth phase after Receiving Hair Transplant with Angel Medical Care at The Angel Clinic.

Around 8-10ml collection of your own blood then spun in a centrifuge, which separates white blood cells from red blood cells. The Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is extracted and then injected into the areas of thinning.

At Angel Medical Care we use regenlab Switzerland tubes for the blood separation process. RegenLab tubes have 80% Platelet Recovery and 1.6x more Platelet Concentration Factor which means you get better results than most on the market. We also use RegenLab Close System Centrifuge which doesn’t allow any other microorganisms to get into the PRP tube. Safety is imperative for us!

To find out if you are a suitable candidate for either PRP or Hair Transplant we recommend you to come for a consultation with our PRP Specialist.

Breakthrough NON-SURGICAL Cellulite Treatment With PRP Platelet-Rich Plasma Treatment

There is only one treatment proven to treat cellulite – PRP/Platelet-Rich-Plasma Procedure. PRP is the strongest and non-surgical way of dealing with cellulite areas and ensuring that your skin is brought back to its smooth surface.

In fact, studies estimate the prevalence of cellulite among post-pubescent women to be as high as 80 to 95 per cent. Cellulite is the great equalizer; it affects women whether they are heavy or skinny, young or old, and regardless of race. Yet it is not unconquerable. Several options are available for significantly reducing cellulite, the latest of which is platelet-rich plasma, or “PRP”.

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite usually appears between the ages of 25 and 35, and progressively worsens with time. Although it’s easily treated with a few Mesotherapy sessions in its early stages, once cellulite progresses to more advanced stages, treatment usually requires a greater number of Mesotherapy sessions.

Since more than 90% of women are affected by cellulite, this condition doesn’t make you “different.” But doing something about it does! If you’re considering any form of cellulite treatment, learning about this new procedure called PRP is a must.

Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP can eliminate cellulite on the legs and buttocks, breaking down the orange-peel appearance of the skin, and producing a smooth contour.

How PRP works

Since the 1970s, PRP has been used for a variety of conditions and procedures, such as heart surgery, soft tissue repair during plastic surgery procedures, and also in orthopaedics to treat knee arthritis. The breadth of its use stems from the fact that PRP works by stimulating the body’s innate healing capabilities.

PRP has become more well known in recently years due to media coverage of this non-surgical treatment for sports injuries among athletes including Tiger Woods and American baseball player Alex Rodriguez. Kim Kardashian’s infamous “vampire facial” drove interest in the use of PRP for stimulating collagen to keep skin looking young and supple. Another use has recently been added to the PRP repertoire: improving the appearance of cellulite.

The body’s first response to soft tissue injury is to deliver platelet cells. Packed with growth and healing factors, platelets initiate repair and attract the critical assistance of stem cells. PRP therapy’s natural healing process intensifies the body’s efforts by delivering a higher concentration of platelets.

The PRP Procedure

To create PRP therapy, a small sample of your blood is drawn (similar to a lab test sample) and placed in a special centrifuge that spins the blood at high speeds, separating the platelets from the other components. The concentrated platelet rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into and around the point of injury, jump-starting and significantly strengthening the body’s natural healing signal.

Because your own blood is used, there is no risk of a transmissible infection and a very low risk of allergic reaction.

PRP can be used as a single treatment for cellulite, or in conjunction with other treatments, such as Radiofrequency and micro-needling. PRP does not melt fat cells, however it does create the healthier skin structure necessary to minimize the appearance of cellulite over the long term. PRP also consists of substances created by the body, which makes it a good complement to a more natural, less invasive approach to treating cellulite.

How long does it take?

The procedure takes approximately one to two hours, including preparation and recovery time. Performed safely in a medical office, PRP therapy relieves pain without the risks of surgery, general anesthesia, or hospital stays and without a prolonged recovery. In fact, most people return to their jobs or usual activities right after the procedure.

Aqualyx is a revolutionary treatment to help target stubborn pockets of fat. These injections can be used in the facial and body regions including double chin

Our liver naturally produce acidic bile to aid in the process of breaking down fat. Fat dissolving injections uses a synthetic form of this acid that is derived from plant based ingredients so it’s safe to use in the body. We deliver it to the fatty areas through needle injection. The acid works to eliminate fat by breaking down the structure of the fat cells, once broken down fat cells are dissolved and burned by the bodies metabolic system.

Botox in the armpit can be used to treat symptoms of severe underarm sweating (severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis) when topical medicines have been ineffective.

Is severe sweating getting in the way of your daily life? Do you feel restricted by which activities you can do or which colours you can wear as antiperspirants are not working? If so, a course of hyperhidrosis armpit Botox could be the solution for you.

How does it work?

Botox is injected into the affected areas to reduce the condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands. When the sweat glands don’t receive chemical signals, severe sweating is reduced. Botox injections are very shallow, meaning that the medicine is injected just below the surface of the skin, where it remains.

Microsclerotherapy is a treatment used to improve the appearance of thread veins and spider veins or eliminate them completely.

How does microsclerotherapy work?

Microsclerotherapy is a safe, non-surgical procedure which involves injecting a saline treatment directly into the thread vein with a very fine needle. These injections cause the lining of the veins to swell so that blood cannot flow through them. Once the blood is restricted from flowing through the spider veins, they become much less visible and disappear.

The process is quick and pretty basic, recovery time is also minimal. We have experienced therapists specialising in this procedure making it virtually painless and no need for topical anaesthetic.

What happens after?

After the treatment we recommend the following:

• Wear compression stockings day and night for 2-3 days and then during the day for a further 10 days.
• Avoid high impact exercise for 14 days.
• Avoid strong sun exposure for 4 weeks as this will increase the risk of pigmentation marks.
• Avoid excessive temperatures (very hot bats, saunas etc.)
• Avoid leg waxing for up to 6 weeks.

• Leg Thread Vein Removal – £150
